Packing Natalie's Lunch

I've gotten packing school lunches down.

A little write up, just in case I'm rusty in the fall.

I try every lunch to have a drink, fruit, veggie, and grain. Sometimes there is also an "other."  Don't forget the ice pack, napkin, and spoon!

Drink:
Horizon organic milk boxes - They come in four flavors (including no flavor), do not need refrigeration to store (though taste better cold)
Fruitables juice boxes
Looking into some sort of canteen / water bottle for next year

Fruit:
Fresh fruit - apple, banana, clementine, strawberries, blueberries, grapes, kiwi, cantaloupe
Dried fruit - little boxes of raisins, cherries, dehydrated fruit (apples, strawberries, or mixed)
Applesauce
Fruit leather
Fruit cup (rarely since very hard to open on her own)

Veggie:
Fresh veggies - peppers, green beans, cucumbers, broccoli, tomatoes, carrots
Dehydrated pea pods (wish we had more options available for local dehydrated veggies since I know they exist)

Grain:
Crackers - goldfish, club, graham, saltines, cheese-its, wheat thins
Popcorn
Pretzels
Granola bar

Other:
Sandwich (sunbutter and jam)
Yogurt
Fruit snacks
Cookie
Chips

Now that Natalie is learning to read, I'm excited to pack her notes.  :)
