Bedtime Story 11/29: Owl

Once upon a time, there was a little boy named William.  He loved owls and peekaboo.  One day, William went into the woods.  Even though he should have been asleep, a little owl was awake, just the same way William sometimes is in the middle of the night.  The owl was gray with amber eyes.  William asked the owl to play peekaboo with him.  First, owl hid behind some big oak leaves on a branch.  The owl said, Peek-a-who!  William hid under a pile of leaves.  William said, Peek-a-boo!  Then the owl hid in a log.  Peek-a-who!  William hid beneath some low branches of a pine tree.  Peek-a-boo!  Soon William and the owl heard the momma owl calling.  Who who who.  The owl hopped and flapped his wings, and then flew away home.  William hoped to see his owl friend again.  And a few nights later, William heard, Peek-a-who at his window.
