Letter C Week (Work in Progress)

With all the books I choose each week, we look for the letter of the week on the cover or I point it out to her.  To gather our letter of the week books, I look through my list of books we've already read and make a list of the ones we like featuring the letter.  I also check out our to-read list.  I also check all the bookcases in the house (living room, both kids rooms, kitchen).  In bold is the the best book of the week.

We did not use all these books this week, but I've kept them on the list to help me out when we do letter C for the second time.  I didn't add any here because its September, but are many excellent titles you can add if you are studying the letter C near Christmas.

If You Give a Cat a Cupcake was by far her favorite this week.  We read it every night and she laughed hysterically at one of the pictures.  She also really enjoyed a feed the cat cupcakes activity I found.  (I'll refind it and post a link as soon as I get a moment).  Cupcakes and cats were just perfect for her.  

We had a lot of activities for the letter C that we did not complete.  We also had poor timing on a few ideas.  It was the birthday of a friend of Natalie who's name starts with C, and I should have used that to our advantage to make her a card.  Also, next week we are going to make cupcakes for Natalie's birthday party.  I also wish we had cupcake stickers!
